Chelsea have pulled out of the race to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.
This will be the second time Chelsea will try to sign Michael Olise but then face a roadblock from the player.
Chelsea came close to signing the Crystal Palace star man last summer, only to be stunned by the France youth international’s late U-turn and his decision to sign a new contract.
Chelsea reignited their interest in signing Michael Olise this summer, after the 22-year-old ended the season in superb form.
Chelsea began formal talks with Palace last week and had entered into negotiations with Olise.
Chelsea were believed to be favourites to sign Olise, but the deal has been called off, as Olise is now destined to sign for Bayern Munich.
According to reports,, Olise wanted to become Chelsea’s highest paid player, but the Blues were not prepared to break their strict wage structure because of one player.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea want to employ a more ‘disciplined’ policy where player salaries are concerned and would rather reward their current first team squad, where appropriate.
