According to reports from Spain, Atletico Madrid have launched an informal bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher is targeted by a number of clubs in the Premier League, and is now attracting interest from Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone likes Conor Gallagher, and believes he can be a key player for Atletico Madrid.

According to AS, Atletico are keen to get the midfielder, which has seen them launch a ‘first informal offer’.

The newspaper reports that Diego Simeone’s side contacted Chelsea to find out about Gallagher’s situation, with a first informal approach worth around €20m put on the table.

Chelsea have however rejected the offer, and made it clear that if they do sell Gallagher, he will only depart for a price they feel is acceptable.

Chelsea have set a current asking price of €50m for Conor Gallagher.
