Chelsea have reportedly joined the race for VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.

Serhou Guirassy hit limelight last season after he scored 30 goals for VfB Stuttgart during the campaign.

With a £17.5 million release clause, Guirassy is seen as an affordable option.

However, Chelsea typically signs younger players, which could be a drawback given Guirassy is 28.

Guirassy, who scored 30 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances last season, has a release clause of €17.5 million (£15 million), making him an attractive target for several clubs.

Guirassy’s impressive performance has not gone unnoticed, with multiple clubs across Europe showing interest.

Despite his age of 28, which is somewhat older than Chelsea’s typical signing profile, his consistent goal-scoring record makes him a viable target.

His performance included breaking the record for most goals in the first seven Bundesliga games of a season, previously held by Robert Lewandowski.
