For the past two years, Chelsea haven’t had it easy with a jersey sponsorship, since the ban placed on Chelsea under Roman Abramovich era.
It seems the jersey struggles will continue until Chelsea regain their place in the Champions League. At some point two seasons ago, Chelsea had to even play without a jersey sponsor.
However, Chelsea will continue their partnership with Infinite Athlete as their jersey sponsor for at least one more year.
The club’s negotiations with potential new sponsors, including Riyadh Air, failed because Chelsea’s demand of £50 million annually was deemed too high, especially given their absence from the Champions League.
Infinite Athlete, a sports technology firm with investment links to Chelsea’s owners, was initially expected to sponsor for only one season but will now remain for an additional year.
