Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has said that Chelsea need two world-class centre-backs.

According to the former Blue, Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi aren’t good enough to start for Chelsea.

Speaking on his Obi One Podcast, Mikel said: “I don’t think Benoit Badiashile is the guy for Chelsea.

“Alex Disasi… no!

“We need two proven, top centre-backs who will come in and stabilise that back four. We need two world-class centre-backs.”

Miikel also warned that the next season could be catastrophic for Chelsea, if Chelsea don’t start the season well.

He added: “The Chelsea fans have been patient. If we don’t start the season well, it’s going to be a catastrophe. The fans will turn on the owners, and they will turn on them massively.”
