Nicolas Jackson was often criticised for missing glaring chances in his debut season at Chelsea.

Despite his goals, it was his missed chances that that made the rounds.

Nicolas Jackson has taken his knack for missing chances when to his national team.

Jackson missed a one-on-one chance for Senegal in Senegal’s World Cup qualifier against Congo.

When put through on goal, Jackson blasted his left-footed shot wide, much to his shock.

Jackson held his head in his usual demeanor, as he regretted his missed chance.

The miss was even more painful for Senegal as Congo scored immediately to level the scores 1-1.

Chelsea fans took to X to lament Jackson’s miss.

One fan said, “Nicolas Jackson has great potential but absolutely needs competition at Chelsea. We can’t have another season of misses like these. Not again.”

Another responded, “It is only the unWise and unreasonable fan that would say Chelsea doesn’t need a striker. Are you not all tired of shouting and having heartbreaks during matches? This guy cost us matches and trophies last Season. A good player, no doubt, but not reliable for now.”

“We just need a striker… Jackson can be a backup but NOT our first choice. If not, we are planning a repeat of the previous season,” another Blue insisted.

Jackson finished the season with 17 goals in 44 games, but made more headlines because of his propensity to miss chances.
