Armando Broja reveals how Chelsea and Fulham disappointed him

After a successful loan spell with Southampton in the 2021-22 campaign, Chelsea striker Armando Broja was expected to be a force in the near future.

An ACL injury that kept the Albanian out for a year didn’t help Broja, and he had to leave on loan in January to Fulham.

Fulham boss Marco Silva had claimed he desperately needed Broja, but the young striker was barely used at Cottage Road.

Armando Broja has opened up on his future and his recent spell at Fulham last season, and the disappointments that came with it.

“There was a lot of speculation [in January],” said Broja.

“I just wanted answers from [Chelsea], a bit of reassurance, and I didn’t get that. In the end, I decided to go on loan because I wanted to get more minutes.

“Marco Silva desperately wanted me to join [Fulham]. He was telling me I would play games… It did suck [not playing] but that’s football. You have to move on and I count it as another lesson learned.

“Nothing has been decided yet [over my future], but if I need to go somewhere else to get back in my groove, then of course I would want to do that…”
