Chelsea are yet to find direction under its current owners, as the club seems to have gone backwards since Roman Abramovich was forced to sell off Chelsea.

Blues hero John Obi Mikel who featured for Chelsea in the Roman Abramovich era, has held nothing back in his criticism of the Chelsea ownership group BlueCo.

Mikel has criticised the way the club is being run, and questioned the model of the club and wondered how the club will achieve success.

Mikel said: “What is Chelsea’s model? You have business people [running the club] who have never played the game and have no clue about the game.

“They tell the team how to play? That is ridiculous. How are we going to become successful?”

Mikel Obi has also warned new manager Enzo Maresca that the Chelsea fans will turn against him if he’s not successful.

“We have to start winning. We don’t want to be Manchester United, this is Chelsea. We want to win trophies, that’s what we do.

“If Enzo Maresca doesn’t win, the fans are going to turn on him. We have to at least compete to win the league.”
