Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen has been named in the Champions League Team of the Season, after an incredible run with Borussia Dortmund that saw them reach the final.

Ian Maatsen who joined Dortmund in January, went on to become a key part of the German side on their incredible run to the Champions League final.

UEFA unveiled the XI on Monday with Maatsen taking up the left-back spot in a team dominated by Dortmund and champions Real Madrid.

Chelsea have a huge decision to make on Ian Maatsen, as he has one year left on his deal with the club.

Borussia Dortmund are interested in keeping the 22-year-old left-back, but do not have the first option nor clause to sign him.
