Tosin Adarabioyo has now completed his medical with Chelsea and is set to join the Blues as a free agent.
He had interest from other clubs, including Newcastle and Manchester United, but chose Chelsea. This signing marks the first of the Enzo Maresca era.
The free agent is 26 years old, and has a remarkable height of 6 foot 5 inches.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has his reservations about Tosin Adarabioyo.
After watching him play at Fulham this season, Cascarino has doubts about a particular area of Adarabioyo’s game.
According to Cascarino, although Adarabioyo is dominant in the air, his ability on the ball is faulty.
Speaking about the 26-year-old on talkSPORT, he said: “Great aerially, really good. I mean, you would expect it. He is 6ft 4in, 6ft 5in, very dominant in that area.
“Still not convinced when he is on the ball, with making mistakes.
“I have seen him do that a few times for Fulham over the season. Chelsea are just looking at it as a free transfer and they do need bodies in that because [Levi] Colwill was injured as well during the season, [Wesley] Fofana whole year, they do need cover or someone to step in and play.”
