Tosin Adarabioyo is set to have a medical with Chelsea ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge, Sky Sports have confirmed.

The 26-year-old defender, whose contract with Fulham expired, is expected to sign a long-term deal with Chelsea.

The Blues are looking to bolster their defence following the departure of veteran Thiago Silva.

Reports claim Chelsea are keen on Tosin Adarabioyo because of his aerial strength defensively.

Chelsea were poor at times defending set pieces this season, and conceded 11 goals from set-piece situation.

Adarabioyo’s great aerial skills can help the team to improve both in scoring and defending when it comes to set-pieces.

According to FootyStats, Adarabioyo won 56 aerial duels this season. It is on average 3.12 duels won for 90 minutes. Tosin is better than 93% of Premier League players in this aspect.

Set-piece coach Bernardo Cueva is also joining Chelsea ahead of next season, as the Blues want to also have a solid team next term.
