Rumours have been strong all season that Chelsea may end up selling Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher was a key player for Chelsea during the campaign, and captained the team most part of the season.
Reports claim Chelsea need to sell some home-grown players this summer, in order to balance the books in line with the Premier League’s PSR restrictions.
Journalist Riath Al-Samarrai has warned Chelsea against selling Conor Gallagher.
“Conor Gallagher, getting rid of him,” said Al-Samarrai. “I think would be just a colossal mistake from the point of view of his role in the team because he was, along with Cole Palmer, Chelsea’s best player last season.
“I think from a PR point of view, if they’re trying to win over the fans, it’d be an almighty blunder, irrespective of what benefit it does on a PSR calculation.”
