Chelsea do not want Enzo Fernandez to participate in the Olympic Games this summer.

Enzo Fernandez is keen on participating in this summer’s Olympics, but Chelsea may not approve of it as it conflicts with the club’s pre-season preparations.

Despite this, Enzo Fernandez has expressed a strong desire to represent Argentina at the Olympics, having already discussed his intentions with head coach Javier Mascherano.

Chelsea plan further discussions with Enzo Fernandez to assess the feasibility of his participation.

“I want to be in the Olympic Games. I spoke with [head coach Javier] Mascherano and I told him that I want to go… let’s see with Chelsea if they let me go,” the Chelsea midfielder said.
