It was a shocking decision when Chelsea announced at the end of the season that Mauricio Pochettino will be leaving the club.

Chelsea were in good form leading up to the end of the season, with five wins in a row, and it was expected that Pochettino will continue on that moment next season.

However, the Chelsea board decided to part ways with Pochettino, and are now set to appoint a new manager.

Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic has reacted to the news, and revealed that the club and Pochettino decided not to continue.

Petrovic also hailed Pochettino for giving him a chance during the season. Petrovic went from being on the fringes to becoming Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper.

The Serbian told Nogomania: “He and the club decided not to continue together, we have to respect that decision.

“Pochettino is a coach who gave me a chance and trusted me. I will be forever grateful to him and the entire coaching staff.

“We worked well together and I wish them all the best in their future careers.”
