Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed his surprise that Chelsea decided to axe Mauricio Pochettino after just one season.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Eden Hazard was asked what he thought about Chelsea’s decision to let go of Mauricio Pochettino.

Hazard believes Pochettino had done enough to get another season at the job.

“I was a bit sad, to be fair. I think that he did a great job,” Eden Hazard said.

“I know that people want Chelsea to be in the top four but it’s just a season of transition.

“He’s a great manager, I wish him good luck and let’s see who is going to be there in the future.”
