Chelsea are set to appoint Enzo Maresca as their new head coach.

The Chelsea bosses have offered Maresca a five-year contract. This deal indicates the club’s strong confidence in Maresca to lead their long-term project.

Chelsea will negotiate a compensation fee with Leicester City, expected to be between £8 million and £10 million, for Maresca’s services.

Sky Sports report that Leicester City have given Chelsea green light to speak directly to Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart will now travel to Spain to hold direct negotiations with Maresca.

The 44-year-old is keen to impress at Chelsea, and “Maresca appointment could be just days away,” the report adds.
