Enzo Fernandez has confirmed his desire to represent Argentina at the upcoming Olympic Games.

Enzo has discussed this with Argentina’s head coach Javier Mascherano and is awaiting Chelsea’s decision on whether he can participate.

The Olympic football tournament runs from July 24 to August 9, which means Enzo Fernandez might miss the start of Chelsea’s season or return without adequate rest if Argentina progresses far in the competition.

“I want to be in the Olympic Games. I spoke with [head coach Javier] Mascherano and I told him that I want to go… let’s see with Chelsea if they let me go,” the Chelsea midfielder said.
