Mauricio Pochettino is set to meet with the Chelsea board for a showdown talk before his future at Stamford Bridge will be decided.

The Argentine was rumoured to be on the verge of losing his job, but a turnaround in form towards the end of the season, has helped his cause.

However, a new Talksport report claims that Mauricio Pochettino will ‘consider quitting’ the club if he is not granted more power in decision-making over the transfer strategy.

Mauricio Pochettino wants more control in transfer decisions, and also wants to retain Conor Gallagher, who has been one of Chelsea’s key players this season.

Chelsea however want to sell Gallagher in order to stay within the Financial Fair Play rules.

The Evening Standard also report that Pochettino won’t be short of interest should he leave Chelsea — be it his own decision or a Chelsea board call.
