Chelsea sold Kai Havertz to Arsenal for around £60m last summer.

Havertz had initially struggled in his first few months in North London, but has since become a key player for the Gunners.

The Germany international has developed into a cult hero at the Emirates where his goals have contributed heavily towards Arsenal’s title challenge. He even scored a brace against Chelsea in the London derby last month.

Kai Havertz has scored 12 Premier League goals in 36 appearances for Arsenal. However, he only managed 19 Premier League goals in three years for Chelsea. Chelsea fans only appreciated him for scoring the goal that won Chelsea the Champions League in 2021.

Former Blue, William Gallas, however insists Chelsea didn’t make a mistake in selling Kai Havertz to Arsenal.

He told Genting Casino: “Kai Havertz, for me, has had a good season at Arsenal but he still has not scored enough goals to justify his price tag yet.

“In the north London Derby last month he had a great game, but when you look at the statistics, a player like him should be better and do more.

“I still don’t think that Chelsea made a mistake to let him go.”
