Chelsea sealed a 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest away at the City Ground on Saturday.

From leading 1-0, Chelsea found themselves 2-1 behind after Callum Hudson-Odoi had Forest 2-1 ahead on 74 minutes after Willy Bony cancelled Chelsea’s lead via Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Quick-fire goals from Raheem Sterling (80’) and Nicolas Jackson (82’) saw Chelsea win the game 3-2 at the City Ground.

Despite scoring a goal against Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi was on the losing side.

The 23-year-old winger had a very good game, and tormented the Chelsea flank until he was subbed off.

Speaking after the game, Callum Hudson-Odoi admitted he was pleased to score against his former side, Chelsea, where he had spent most his career at.

Hudson-Odoi said: “Obviously we knew the results before but in our heads we are playing for ourselves. We tried to get a result for ourselves regardless. The boys fought but couldn’t get the result unfortunately.

“We worked hard, got in the lead and thought we were in a good position. It was unfortunate. It was one of those games.

“Credit to the boys. They worked hard and it was unfortunate.

“It was a nice feeling playing against the boys I know and catch up with them. It was nice to get a goal against my former team.

“You never know in football. There’s one game left but hopefully we’re safe now and we can focus on Burnley next weekend.”
