He’s a bit of a problem – pundit reveals player holding back Caicedo

Moises Caicedo was signed for a whopping £115m from Brighton – making him the most expensive signing in the Premier League.

However, the Ecuadorian hasn’t really lived up to his billing, as he struggled in his initial months at the club.

The 22-year-old has been very impressive recently, and has taken his game to another level in recent games.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Enzo Fernandez could be the one limiting Caicedo, as Caicedo has been very impressive now that Enzo is away.

“I look at Moises Caicedo who earlier in the season was really poor, so off it,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“I was thinking what has happened to that player we saw at Brighton. But today we are seeing glimpses of the Caicedo we were speaking of so highly at Brighton.

“Enzo Fernandez, to a certain extent, is a bit of a problem. I think when I watch him in this league… he’s a World Cup winner but it seems a bit quick for him.

“He’s been here 18 months, he needs to improve if he’s going to work in the league. There are a lot of positives here but it is going to take time.”

Caicedo seems to be working better in midfield with Conor Gallagher, than when he sits with Enzo Fernandez.

  1. I think caicedo will in the near future become the ngolo kante of his generation but we cant say enzo limits him as they are different individuals with different pottentials.
Yes we can say he has really had a good chemistry with the great captain gallagher in recent games and i will be the happiest to see him get his first goal for the pride of london
    Up CFC????????(blues for life).
It will also be an honour if i one day play along side these great talents at the bridge.
