Mauricio Pochettino was a happy man, as he saw his young Chelsea squad beat Tottenham 2-0 convincingly.

It was a fine display from Chelsea, as the Blues dominated most parts of the game.

For Mauricio Pochettino, he had to field a very young team, with no experienced player on the bench due to injury.

The Chelsea manager has come under fire in recent weeks, especially after the 5-0 defeat to Arsenal. But after the Spurs game, Pochettino revealed he was a happy man.

Mauricio Pochettino told Sky Sports after the game: “I think it’s my first time in the season that I feel so happy because it’s the moment that after 10 months the team start to realise that we need to compete. And today we competed really well.

“It’s difficult to see every single week that I’m under scrutiny and judgement. But it’s not my decision to be here or not to be here.

“Enough is enough. All managers need time to translate their ideas and philosophy.”
