Chelsea have been without a number of first-team players in recent weeks, as the likes of Reece James, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell have been sidelined with injury issues.

Enzo Fernandez also missed the last game after undergoing surgery for hernia, and is out for the rest of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino has ruled two more players out of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Tottenham due to injury.

Speaking at his pre-Spurs press conference, Pochettino said he had ‘no good news’ on the injury front as he confirmed that Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi would also miss the London derby clash at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Asked for an update on his squad, Pochettino said: “No good news because we cannot recall any players from the last [injury] list. And we need to add two more – Disasi and Thiago, they are not available for tomorrow.”

Benoit Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah will be Pochettino’s main option to partner in defence against Tottenham.
