There have been calls for Mauricio Pochettino to be sacked at the end of the season, following the 5-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino has failed to convince the Chelsea faithful over the course of the season, but the embarrassing defeat at the Emirates Stadium has further caused Chelsea fans to show their disdain for the Argentine.

Meanwhile, reporter Ben Jacobs, has claimed that the Chelsea board aren’t thinking of sacking Pochettino yet.

Ben Jacobs was asked about Pochettino’s future on a Playback stream. The journalist said that Chelsea’s plan is to make a decision on Pochettino’s future after the end of the season.

So far, Pochettino’s job at Chelsea is safe, but a decision will be made at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has decided not to blame his young players for the defeat.

“When we have bad days, we are so bad. We are capable of being very good and then a few days later being very bad,” Pochettino said after Chelsea lost 5-0 to Arsenal.

“I’m not going to blame the players. The circumstances are bigger than the performance here. We cannot blame young guys that came here after suffering circumstances and came here to fight against a team fighting to win the Premier League.

“We need to be careful, we can be unhappy with our performance but I am not going to use a word [like embarrassed] that is unfair to the players in our squad.”
