Chelsea have been sent packing from the FA Cup in the semi-final stage, after losing 1-0 to Manchester City.

It was an entertaining semi-final clash at Wembley, but Chelsea were very wasteful in front of goal.

Chelsea were the better side, but inexperience cost the team. In the end, Bernardo Silva tucked in a rebound in the 84th minute to send City to the final.

Speaking after the game, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola slammed the FA for their poor scheduling of the game, as Chelsea had more time to rest than Manchester City who played Real Madrid earlier this week in the Champions League.

After the game, the City manager could not contain his frustration at how his side’s fixture list had become so congested.

“It’s unacceptable,”Pep Guardiola told the BBC after their FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea.

“Coventry, Chelsea, [Manchester] United didn’t play in the week, and they let us play today.

“Next week, on Friday would be better. Instead of Saturday, put it on Friday, it would be better. It’s impossible; for the health of the players.

“It’s not normal. It’s not possible; not acceptable to go 120 minutes against Madrid, with the way we lost, and [now] the semi-finals [of the FA Cup].

“This country is special, but for the health of the players. I don’t understand how we survived today. I don’t understand.”
