Chelsea played out a 2-2 draw with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday evening.
Chelsea were overwhelming favourites against Sheffield United who are bottom of the league, and by far the worst side in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea conceded a 93rd minute goal to level the points, in yet another disappointing showing from the Blues.
Former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew, has claimed that the Chelsea have a huge problem in defence, saying that the back four is Chelsea’s biggest problem.
“After some time Chelsea do have a team that kind of resembles the one from the week before now, but the back four worries me a bit with Chelsea,” the former Premier League manager told talkSPORT.
“I think going forward they’re okay, I wouldn’t say they’re brilliant. But the back four is the concern if you’re going to have any kind of consistency.
“It’s amazing when you think about, and I’ve got a lot of friends who are Chelsea fans, the history of the Champions League and the Premier League titles and [Jose] Mourinho and all that history… it wasn’t that long ago.
“And now they’ve spent all this money and it looks like their best bet is going to be the Europa Conference League. I mean, it’s a bit of a worry, isn’t it?”
Indeed, Chelsea have a problem in defence. A lot of work must be done ahead of next season.
The truth of the matter is that the Chelsea coach has no idea of the tactics to be used on each and every game. Furthermore he lacks vision in when to make bring on subs when the game is in a crucial moment
He keeps on changing his defence and that is where the problem is.The defence do not know each other
Pochetino is not the wright manager for Chelsea. He lacks the qualities of a good manager. He has problem with player selection, and making the wright substitute in the cause of a match.
