According to Football Insider, Chelsea won’t consider any offers for club captain Reece James this summer.
Various reports had claimed the Blues will consider selling Reece James in the summer amid interest from Real Madrid and PSG.
While selling James would represent pure profit and help Chelsea meet their Financial Fair Play obligations, it is believed the Blues will not consider parting with him this summer.
Selling the right-back could potentially lead to a significant negative reaction from fans towards the leadership of Todd Boehly, with Chelsea’s decision-makers anticipating considerable backlash from the supporters over such a move.
Reece James has struggled to remain fit in the 2023-24 campaign. He has managed just six starts in nine total appearances for the Blues this term due to a string of injury problems.
While James won’t be sold this summer, the Blues will be reportedly open to selling Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah this summer in a bid to meet FFP obligations.
