Cole Palmer has attributed his inspirational performance and last-minute heroics to Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino following the thrilling 4-3 Premier League win against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea initially surged ahead with a 2-0 lead within the first 19 minutes, but United mounted a remarkable comeback, taking the lead later in the game.
With the match seemingly slipping away and United eyeing a vital victory in their quest for a top-four finish, Cole Palmer delivered a stunning display, scoring twice within 82 seconds during injury time, turning the tables and leaving United in dismay.
“It was a crazy game,” Cole Palmer told TNT Sports. “When we scored in the 98th minute I thought let’s go for it. Madness.
“I didn’t know what to do. I was running round when I scored. A hat-trick is a hat-trick. It was my first one, I’m really happy about it.
“When we scored he [Pochettino] said there’s two minutes left, come on. He’s always trying to drive us on. We went for it and thankfully we scored.
“It’s a big winner. It’s a massive momentum booster. It puts everyone in a good mood. Hopefully we can kick on.”
Conor Gallagher put Chelsea ahead early in the game, and when Cole Palmer converted a penalty in the 19th minute, it seemed Chelsea was on course for an easy win.
However, Manchester United pulled level by halftime, thanks to quickfire goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes within five minutes.
United then took the lead with Garnacho capitalizing on an excellent cross from Antony.
Nevertheless, Cole Palmer became Chelsea’s savior, first by netting another penalty and then by scoring a last-gasp winner, creating a memorable finish.
On scoring two penalties in the game, Cole Palmer added: “I had a few penalties this season. I’m just going to continue to try to score them. If I get penalties, I’m going to try to score, I’m not going to try to miss.”

Palmer is a fantastic player. If we had two of his kind in the team, we would be second on the league.
I wish we have at least two players like Palmer. We couldn’t be on 10th table
