Nicolas Jackson’s tenure at Chelsea this season sees him positioned as the second least efficient finisher in the Premier League, marked by a significant variance between his actual scoring and expected performance.

With 9 goals to his name, he falls short of the 13.4 expected goals (xG), showcasing a -4.4 difference in goals minus expected goals.

His attempts at goal are numerous, with 56 shots taken, 29 of which were on target, but the stark figure of 17 big chances missed highlights a substantial area for improvement.

Jackson’s ability to get into goal-scoring positions is evident, yet honing his finishing skills could see him converting more of these opportunities and better aligning his actual goal tally with the anticipated outcomes based on his xG.
