TV presenter Jeff Stelling has slammed the refereeing in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Burnley.

Stelling believes Burnley should have gone on to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Jeff Stelling feels there was one moment from Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Burnley which was an ‘absolute disgrace’ and believes the Blues got lucky.

Cole Palmer’s opener was from the penalty spot, and Stelling believes it was a controversial decision, claiming that a penalty shouldn’t have been given for Lorenz Assignon’s foul on Mykhailo Mudryk.

Assignon was shown a second yellow card which reduced Burnley to 10 men, with their manager Vincent Kompany also sent to the stands.

“They (Chelsea) should have lost the game,” Jeff Stelling told talkSPORT.

“That was one of the worst refereeing decisions I have ever seen in my life.

“To give a penalty against Burnley and a red card for Assignon. It was an absolute disgrace.

“If the referee on the pitch can’t get it right, for goodness sake, what is the VAR doing? What’s he doing?

“Has he gone for an early cup of tea? Is he eating a chocolate biscuit? He can’t have been watching what I was watching.”
