Cole Palmer has definitely been a top signing since moving to Chelsea.
The 21-year-old bagged a brace on Saturday, even though it wasn’t enough for Chelsea to beat Burnley, with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.
Cole Palmer has now registered 13 goals and eight assists in the Premier League so far this season, meaning he has become only the fifth player to reach 20 goal involvements in their debut campaign with Chelsea.
Palmer is also the youngest player in Chelsea’s history to achieve that milestone at the age of 21.
The Ex-Chelsea players to have done it are Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (32 goal involvements), Diego Costa (23), Cesc Fabregas (21) and Eden Hazard (20).
Palmer has scored 18 goals and assisted 12 in 38 games in all competitions, since his £40million move from Manchester City last summer.
To surpass Hasselbaink’s tally, Palmer now needs 11 goal contributions in the remaining 10 games.
Cole Palmer was however disappointed with his teammates poor performance against Burnley.
“It’s poor, really… it can’t happen. Especially when they go down to ten men,” he told Sky Sports.
“We got too comfortable. Same story, we kill ourselves every week. It’s got to improve from us as players. We need consistency.”
