The game against Burnley was one Chelsea were expected to win.

The Blues could only get a draw in this game, despite taking the lead twice.

As a matter of fact, Chelsea never got a grip on the game against 10-man Burnley.

Cole Palmer who put in a good showing against Burnley, and scored both goals for Chelsea, was however disappointed with his teammates’ performance.

Speaking after the Burnley game, Cole Palmer said: “It’s poor, really… it can’t happen. Especially when they go down to ten men.

“We got too comfortable. Same story, we kill ourselves every week. It’s got to improve from us as players. We need consistency.”

To Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino, the result against Burnley, shows his Chelsea team has so many areas to improve on.

“So disappointed,” Mauricio Pochettino told BBC after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Burnley.

“We didn’t show the consistency and the capacity to deal with and manage the game. We allowed them some actions from set pieces to get some possibility to believe.

“It is a result that shows that we need to improve in many areas if we want to be competitive.

“It was so easy for them to get to our last third. We were not aggressive enough in open play and defending set pieces. We need to improve like a team and be more competitive.”
