Chelsea get timely injury boost ahead of Burnley game

Chelsea have been handed a timely injury boost ahead of their return to Premier League action this weekend.

The Blues play host to Burnley at Stamford Bridge, and key duo Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto have been doubts for this game.

Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto have however been pictured in training earlier today.

Cole Palmer’s fitness may have been a concern, after the 21-year-old was ruled out of England’s Euro 2024 warm-up clash with Brazil due to a minor knock.

Palmer didn’t feature as well in the game against Belgium.

Palmer, who has been Chelsea’s best player this season, was pictured in training at Cobham today and should be in line to feature this Saturday when the Blues welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge.

The £42.5million summer signing from Manchester City, has racked up 11 goals and eight assists in the English top flight so far this season.

Malo Gusto also trained as normal, despite doubts over his fitness after the 20-year-old returned early from international duty last week.

Mauricio Pochettino will definitely be glad to have back Cole Palmer and Gusto in his side for the weekend game.
