Former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly been given an offer from Nottingham Forest to manage the club.
Maurizo Sarri resigned as Napoli manager earlier this month following a run of five defeats in six matches. The poor form saw his side also knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
Sarri joined Lazio in 2021, and guided them club to second place in Serie A last season – their best finish in over two decades, having won the title in 2000.
With Lazio slipping down to ninth in Serie A, and seven points off a European qualification place, Sarri decided it was time to leave the post.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, Sarri has been offered an immediate return to management by Nottingham Forest, who have offered the Italian a three-year contract to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.
Maurizio Sarri is said to have immediately rejected the offer, and will only return to football in the summer.
