Former Chelsea midfielder Geremi Njitap is said to be divorcing his wife after discovering the two children he raised were fathered by his partner’s ex.

The Cameroonian played for Chelsea between 2003 and 2007, and won the Premier League title twice with Chelsea, in Jose Mourinho’s first spell in charge.

According to The Sun, Geremi Njitap is now divorcing his wife after DNA tests proved the two children fathered by him aren’t his, but instead his partner’s ex.

Court papers in Cameroon show that Geremi claims his wife Laure “destroyed the harmony” of the couple’s marriage “through her abject behaviour”.

While Geremi’s wife had claimed the children were his, the court papers said: “No children have been born from this union.

“The discovery that the children were from her previous partner destroyed the couple’s harmony.

“It caused him a huge emotional shock.”

Geremi who’s now 45 is said to be devastated by the recent development.
