Gareth Southgate has named his England squad to play the upcoming friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium later this month.
The games are set to take place on March 23 and 26, and Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher and Ben Chilwell have all been called up ahead of them.
Palmer’s inclusion comes as no surprise, really, judging by his incredible form for Chelsea this season.
The 21-year-old has played 23 league games for the Blues, scoring 11 goals, and assisting a further eight.
As for Gallagher, the midfielder has also been in serious form for Chelsea, and not many will look past him if they’re counting the three best players at the club this season.
Ben Chilwell is the only surprise addition to the list, seeing as he missed Chelsea’s last game with an injury, and was expected to be out for a few weeks at least, but then, the 27-year-old was spotted in full training at Cobham on Thursday, which suggests his injury wasn’t as serious as expected.
