Cole Palmer has stood by his decision to join Chelsea from Manchester City, despite the reigning champions winning the treble last season.
The 21-year-old sealed a summer move to Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day, costing Chelsea about £40m in the process.
Since the transfer, Cole Palmer has proven to be a bargain buy after registering 19 goal contributions in 23 Premier League matches so far this season.
Speaking after Chelsea’s 3-2 victory against Newcastle on Monday night, the attacker, who picked up a goal and an assist said: “It was a very difficult decision to leave City. I had been there since I was six years old.
“I was ready to play football, so I talked to my family, the club and switched to Chelsea. I felt ready to play every week.
“I just wanted to show my skills, and luckily it paid off.”
