Mudryk, who came on for Raheem Sterling in the 71st minute, scored only five minutes after entering the pitch.

Despite facing challenges since his move to Chelsea, the Ukrainian international displayed notable poise by navigating past Newcastle’s goalkeeper Martin Dubravka to score.

On Sky Sports, Gary Neville remarked, “Mudryk has been energetic since his introduction. He approached the game with positivity and courage, intercepting the ball from Gallagher. Initially, it was Jackson on the left. Gallagher was unaware of Mudryk’s presence.

“Mudryk managed to thread the ball through Schar’s legs, showing the calmness to round the goalkeeper. It seems he’s shifted the game in Chelsea’s favor, securing a vital three points for them.”
