Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest regarding Conor Gallagher’s contract situation at Chelsea.

Gallagher is out of contract with Chelsea next June, but despite that reality, the 24-year-old is yet to be offered a new deal by the club.

While there have been negotiations between the player’s camp and Chelsea, a breakthrough is yet to be reached as a result of his wage demands. And Chelsea are now said to be considering selling the midfielder this summer, with Premier League rivals, Tottenham believed to be interested.

“Chelsea haven’t decided what to do about Conor Gallagher and his contractual situation yet,” Romano said, in his piece for the Daily Briefing.

“Tottenham’s interest hasn’t gone anywhere though. It’s been there since last summer, but as of right now, I am not aware of any negotiations, including a contract offer or any bids.”

Chelsea stand to make more profit from selling a player like Gallagher as a result of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, because he’s a home-grown star, and the club didn’t spend anything to buy him.

Conor Gallagher may not be the most skillful player on the pitch, but he plays with all his heart, which is why the Chelsea fans love him.
