Burnley boss, Vincent Kompany has hailed David Datro Fofana as an ‘outstanding’ player, following his impressive display during his side’s match against West Ham last weekend.
The Ivorian has proven to be an important addition to Burnley since he joined them on a six-month loan move in January.
Fofana has come up with some great goals for the Clarets in the last few weeks, including a screamer in their 2-2 draw with David Moyes’ men at the London stadium on Sunday.
Fofana scored the opening goal, as Burnley went 2-0 up, but unfortunately, they couldn’t hold on to their advantage, and were pegged back by the Hammers.
Kompany said of the young striker: “It seems like he’s growing into the season and into the team as well.
“We will need performances like the performance he gave against West Ham. He was outstanding.
“The entire performance from Fofana was outstanding and we’ve needed it. Hopefully he can continue like that from now until the end of the season.
“These are the players who will help us.”
