Report: Chelsea target two key areas to reinforce in the summer transfer window

Chelsea have identified two major areas they would like to fill when the summer transfer window reopens, according to a new report.

The Blues are reportedly targeting Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams, alongside a proven finisher, as they look to return to the summit of English football next season.

Williams has become a key player for Bilbao after making his first appearance for the La Liga club three years ago.

The 21-year-old has made 17 goal contributions so far this season, including six goals and 11 assists.

The Telegraph claim that Chelsea are considering a summer transfer bid for the Spain international, who has a decent £43m release clause on his current contract.

It is also claimed by the outlet, that Chelsea are interested in signing RB Leipzig striker, Benjamin Sesko this summer in order to ease their goalscoring troubles.

Sesko moved to Leipzig from RB Salzburg last summer, and has so far netted seven times for the Bundesliga club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s interest in Victor Osimhen remains in tact. The Nigerian has been linked with a transfer away from Napoli for months now, and there’s firm belief that Stamford Bridge will be his destination.

Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in Osimhen, who has scored 13 goals for Napoli this season.
