Chelsea left-back, Lewis Hall is almost certain to permanently become a Newcastle player this summer, according to Magpies boss, Eddie Howe.

Hall moved to Newcastle on a season-long loan deal last summer, with an obligation to buy for a fee around £28m, plus another £7m in add-ons.

The 19-year-old has made 11 appearances for Newcastle this season.

Speaking ahead of his side’s Premier League visit to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Howe said of Hall (via Fabrizio Romano): “I can confirm that Lewis Hall’s permanent move is close to being triggered.”

Howe also said (via talkSPORT): “I’m preparing for Lewis to be here for many years.

“I believe in him. He was brought here for the long term. There’s no magic wand — sometimes you just need patience, which I know is a rare commodity.”

If the Hall sale goes through as expected, and Chelsea are able to offload two to three more players in the summer, the club’s standing with FFP should be even better.
