Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly set to lose role at the club

Todd Boehly may lose his role as chairman of the Chelsea board, according to a new report.

This is as claimed by The Telegraph, who are reporting that Chelsea owners have an agreement in place that allows them pass the chairmanship of the club around themselves after every five years.

Owners of Clearlake Capital, Behdad Eghbali and Jose Feliciano may be in line for the role if Boehly relinquishes it.

The American billionaire has been chairman of Chelsea since its takeover was completed in 2022. And despite investing more than £1b in transfers and hiring coaches since then, results haven’t been coming in.

Chelsea fans have not shied away from making their displeasure known over the way the club is run under current chairman Todd Boehly, and Eghbali and Feliciano will no doubt have concerns of their own.
