Thomas Tuchel is reportedly open to the idea of a return to his former job at Chelsea, despite the manner he left the club in 2022.

Tuchel was fired as Chelsea boss two years ago, after a poor run of results for the Blues.

The German has since been appointed Bayern Munich manager, but after spending a season and half there, he’s agreed to leave the Allianz Arena by mutual consent when the ongoing campaign comes to an end.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have not been the same since Tuchel left in September 2022, and there are talks that Mauricio Pochettino may be relieved of his role as head coach if things do not change before the end of the season.

According to BILD, Tuchel is willing to return to Stamford Bridge if he’s offered his job back, despite the harsh manner he was asked to leave by the Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali-led ownership.

The 50-year-old reportedly feels the club was better off under his management, and won’t mind coming back to fix things.

Tuchel won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup during his stint with Chelsea.
