Chelsea may have to temporarily relocate to a neutral ground in the coming months.

The club is currently trying to decide whether or not to build a new stadium for their senior team. If they decide against building a new one, the alternative is to expand Stamford Bridge.

According to The Sun, Chelsea co-owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali are now assessing their options before they make a decision.

The Chelsea owners are looking to increase the sitting capacity of Stamford Bridge, which is currently able to contain up to 40,341 people.

However, a decision has to be made soon considering the amount of time it will take to execute whichever one they eventually opt to follow.

It is also believed that the project is something that could see Chelsea having to leave Stamford Bridge for another ground for up to six years.
