Transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano has reiterated that Chelsea are still in the race to sign Victor Osimhen this summer – as are Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Osimhen has made it clear he wants to play in the Premier League someday, and rumours say his preferred destination would be Chelsea if the move does happen.

With Chelsea in dire need of a prolific finisher, the Blues are expected to table an offer for the 25-year-old this summer, but Romano has stated that for now, nothing is happening in the background in that regard, as the player is focusing on finishing the season with Napoli.

“We have been speaking about PSG, Arsenal and Chelsea for months…for sure these clubs are interested, I don’t think it’s new,” Fabrizio Romano told OneFootball about Victor Osimhen.

“It’s going to be important to see who is going to make concrete steps to sign Osimhen, but at the moment we’re not at that stage yet; and it’s the same on the player’s side.

“Osimhen is focused on Napoli for now after signing a new contract earlier this season, even if the feeling was that he would probably leave the club this summer, so let’s see what happens closer to June/July.”

Osimhen has scored 11 goals in the Serie A this season after playing 16 games. He also has three assists to his name.
