According to Football Insider, Chelsea will pay a record-breaking fee to Brighton for striker sensation Shumaira Mheuka.
A tribunal has decided the Blues must pay a basic fee of £1m rising to a potential £4.25m for the 16-year-old striker after he moved to Stamford Bridge in July 2022.
Shumaira Mheuka joined Chelsea as a 14 year old, with Chelsea offering Brighton a compensation fee of £850,000 which they rejected.
The current British-record fee for a 14-year-old is listed by Transfermarkt as the £2million Liverpool paid to MK Dons for Sheyi Ojo in 2011.
The transfer of Shumaira Mheuka to Chelsea costing a potential £4.25million is now a the new British record for a 14 year old.
Brighton will also receive 25 percent of any transfer fee should Chelsea sell the striker in future.
Since Todd Boehly took control of Chelsea, the Blues have paid Brighton more than £225m for players and staff.
