Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana and his wife Cyrine Sabeur have raised concerns about their marriage after both unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed pictures of themselves together from their profiles.

The couple, who got married in June 2022 at the prestigious Yacht Club De Monaco, had previously shared their relationship with the public via an Instagram post a year before their wedding.

Originating from the Marseille region in France, Cyrine, who is two years Wesley’s senior, has built a successful career, currently serving as the vice-president of Europe Etudes, as indicated on her LinkedIn profile. Her Instagram showcases a life of luxury.

This isn’t the first time rumors have surfaced regarding turmoil in their marriage. Last year, Cyrine made her Instagram private temporarily, only to make it public again later, amidst reports that they had resolved their issues. However, their recent social media activity suggests that problems may have resurfaced.

The absence of mutual follows on Instagram between the two, along with a noticeable reduction in their following counts—Cyrine’s now at 317 and Wesley’s at 285—hints at a deliberate decision to unfollow each other.

Further evidence pointing to marital strife includes the removal of photos displaying their affection, such as images of them about to kiss on a private jet and Cyrine being lavished with roses and luxury gifts on Valentine’s Day.

Currently, reminders of their wedding and other significant moments together are only found in the ‘tagged’ sections of their Instagram profiles, where others have shared images involving the couple.

After Fofana’s £70 million transfer from Leicester to Chelsea in 2022, the couple relocated to London, where they share a residence.
