Mauricio Pochettino turned 52 today, but he didn’t get the birthday reception he’d have been hoping for from Chelsea fans, as Chelsea managed to play a 2-2 draw with Brentford.

Chelsea have now gone five games without beating Brentford, and Pochettino felt the anger of the Chelsea fans at the Gtech Stadium.

The gaffer was abused by some supporters, who told him to ‘F*** off’ and urged for Jose Mourinho to be brought back.

Pochettino has reacted to the treatment he’s getting, and doesn’t appear to be worried about it, as he believes it can change for better.

When asked about his relationship with the Chelsea fans, Pochettino said: “I am not worried. We need to accept this relationship.

“I’ve been told (about the chants) but I didn’t hear to be honest. I don’t know. I need to believe. I didn’t hear but it’s normal. We were losing the game 2-1 and it’s about to express their frustration. I am one of the responsible [ones]. I am the head coach.

“Someone asked me, do you feel the love from the fans? No. You need to build the relationship and you build the relationship through winning games. I won’t ask for nothing, I will continue to work and change this perception.”
