Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has said he’s proud of his players’ performance in their 3-2 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

It was Leeds who scored the first goal of the game, before Chelsea equalised and took the before half-time.

Leeds levelled the scores in the second-half and were the better side for most part of the half. However, the Blues won 3-2 thanks to Conor Gallagher’s final minute goal.

Farke has claimed that his team was much better than Chelsea in the second-half.

Farke said: “Very proud of this performance, but congratulations to Chelsea they were clinical today.

“In the second half we had more possession, more shots at goal and more expected goals.

“I left many key players out and young players in central places Mateo Joseph [did well] Archie Gray 17-year old in midfield [did well] and for that I am proud of their performances.

“No coincidence that we scored the second goal, we wanted to dominate possession in order to our stick to our beliefs – many compliments to my young lads.”
